User Group Types

Description​

As a company admin, I have a range of User Groups to choose from so that users can be assigned to grant them proper access to the SkillsNow platform.

Teams​

A Team refers to the teams that are displayed on the DevelopNow portal. User who have any default Team Role will be given access to both the DevelopNow and LearnNow portals. Within a team you can be assigned two roles:

  • Team Member
    • A Team Member has access to the DevelopNow and LearnNow Portals. This allows them to self assign learning, complete Review Processes, complete assigned learning, manage Skills, and other features related to Personal CPD.
  • Team Leader
    • A Team Leader has all the permissions and access that a Team Member has, but also has the ability to schedule Review Processes, assign learning and edit skills for Team Members. These actions are only available for Team Members in the same team as the Team Leader.

Recruitment Groups​

Recruitment groups are designed to control access to different Projects on the HireNow portals. There is only one role for Recruitment Groups; A Recruitment member. Being a Recruitment Member means that you will have access to any Campaigns that are part of a Project that you are assigned to. Assigning a Recruitment Team to a Project can be done by a Recruitment admin on the HireNow Portal. A guide to that can be found here - HireNow - Projects

Skillsets​

Skillsets are groups which determine what Skills are assigned to a user in the DevelopNow portal. Skillsets only have one role; Skillset member. If a user is a Skillset Member, when their CPD profile is selected (either in Team or Personal Development) only Skill Categories associated with the Skillset they are a member of are displayed. If you remove a user as a Skillset member, their Skill scores are not deleted but they will not be displayed unless they are made a Skillset Member of the same Skillset, or if they join another Skillset that shares a Skill Category with the original Skillset.
